As many as 350 food packages aid provided by PT Adaro Indonesia for religious teachers, Islamic boarding schools, and orphanages were distributed at the Islamic Center in Maburai, Tabalong, Monday (June 15, 2020).

According to Adaro's Section Head of CRM Department Fajerianur Musadi, it was planned over 1.000 food packages will be distributed in Tabalong and Balangan, with the main target of people affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.

"We will distribute in stages over the next few days with the main target affected communities around the operational area of Adaro," Fajeri said.

However, he added, the aim was a number of professions that have been missed before, such as religious teachers, Islamic boarding schools teachers, and orphanages.

Adaro was assisted by community colleagues and police in the distribution, he said, in order the aid to actually reach the affected people who really need it.

In addition to food packages, thousands of masks were distributed as protection against COVID-19 transmission in the actions that involved the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN). 

"Of course we hope the pandemic to end soon, activities to return to normal and Adaro will continue to be committed to helping people deal with difficult conditions," Fajeri concluded.
