Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Drinking water supply program and community-based sanitation (Pamsimas) of Ministry of Public Works will be carried out in 12 villages in Tabalong, South Kalimantan.

The 12 villages recipients determined by the Director General of Cipta Karya's decision No.36/Kpts/DC/2014, said Head the Tabalong Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Erwan here on Thursday.

"Of the 12 target villages, eight villages received grants funded by the state budget (APBN) and four others funded by district budget (APBD)," he said.

The eight villages recipient of Pamsimas program funded by APBN are Kasiau Raya Village, Bongkang, Mangkupum, Kampung Baru, Uwie , Garunggung, Kembang Kuning and Bumi Makmur Village.

While four villages to get water supply system from the APBD are Talan, Salikung, Simpung Layung and Wayau.

"Pamsimas program is prioritized for rural communities who have difficulty accessing clean water and sanitation," said Erwan.

Coordinator Pamsimas in Tabalong, Zainoor Rahman said,  with the publication of a decree related to the determination of the Cipta Karya Director General on Pamsimas location, it require socialization and planning involving the facilitators.
