Banjarmasin , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - The Banjarmasin Government is targeting land acquisition of Veteran Road, which will be built beautifully and split by the river, to complete this year.

Head of Governance at the Regional Secretariat of Banjarmasin Government Iwan Ristianto told reporters here on Monday, Rp4,5 billion of funds from the 2014 purely budget is prepared for continued exemption, because there are 43 buildings have not been released yet.

He targets, land acquisition is completed in 2014 , and price agreement still being discussed and is expected to be achieved, so that the exemption can be done.

Previously Banjarmasin Mayor H Muhidin ensure that the concept of river split roads will soon be realized, because it got the green light from the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan. The plan, the river is six meters wide and three meters deep. Buildings on the right and left side will be exempted.

Banjarmasin city government only bear the cost of exemption, while the rivers dredging and roads building to be covered by South Kalimantan provincial government and the Ministry of Public Works.

In the future, he added, no more hanging bridges along Jalan Veteran , except for bridges that can only be traversed by foot.
