The City Government of Banjarbaru stated it has been settled to impose the Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB), which has been approved by Health Minister together with two districts in South Kalimantan. 

"All have been settled, either budget, integrated command post, till social safety net," said Deputy Chief of Banjarbaru Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 Said Abdullah here, Tuesday (May 12, 2020). 

According to Said, who is also the Regional Secretary of Banjarbaru, his party has established for the policy to be taken as a follow up of the PSBB to be imposed in the near  future. 

Previously, Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto had approved Banjarbaru, Banjar District and Barito Kuala District to enforce the PSBB.

The PSBB stipulation was stated in the Health Minister Decree Number HK.01.07/Menkes/304/2020 concerning the implementation of PSBB in Banjarbaru City, Banjar District and Barito Kuala District. 

Banjarbaru Mayor Nadjmi Adhani said on Monday night he had received the certainty regarding the PSBB approval letter from the minister and studied while waited for the governor's regulation.

"We are still waiting for the governor's regulation as the basis for the implementation," he said.

He pointed out that the governor's regulation becomes the basis because the PSBB agreement involved two other districts, which would simultaneously impose social restriction in their respective region.

"In principle, we will prepare maximally as possible thus the implementation will be appropriate and in line with expectations, which is to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, so there will be no more victims," he said.
