Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Seven members of Polish government delegation came to Banjarmasin to offer a range of waste treatment technologies.

The delegation of Polish officials which was accompanied by Ministry of Environment official and the Indonesian Ambassador in Poland Dr Darmansjah Djumala was welcomed by Banjarmasin Mayor Haji Muhidin and all officials in the municipal government on Friday.

The meeting took place in the Kayuh Baimbai Hall. Dialogue between the municipal government officials and Polish delegation led by Secretary of Poland State
Ministry of Environment Stanislaw Gawlowki.

Mayor Haji Muhidin after the meeting told reporters that the arrival of Polish delegation to offers a variety of technology owned by the state in terms of waste management.

Especially how the on-site Final Disposal (TPA) waste processing technology, so that garbage can be utilized, and not to pollute the environment, especially residential around it.

In addition, Poland offers technologies in water treatment:
dirty waste water to be clean and can be drunk.

They are interested in coming to Banjarmasin and to some
other areas in the country due to the location of Banjarmasin with a swampy land. So they can treat water to be a useful swamp water.

According to the Mayor, a variety of other technologies offered. One of them is a car with dirty water processing equipment into clean water. It gained attention because there are several isolated locations in Banjarmasin causing difficulty in obtaining clean water.

If utilizing the car worth about Rp750 million, the on-site sewage could be processed into clean water. So that, the isolated villages will not be difficult anymore to get clean water to drink.

With a wide range of technologies Offered by the Polish, now the Banjarmasin city government has to consider which of them to be a priority.
