Ibramsyah, born in Banjarmasin on Agustus 12, 1974, has an outstanding over his shortcomings as a person with a visual impairment.
As a person, who s destined to be physically imperfect, does not make him miserable and desperate in living life, instead he tries to continue to explore his potential.
The evidence of his persistence to learn to live independently is an achievement in the field of sport. In fact, Ibramsyah's name as South Kalimantan disable swimmer was recorded in gold ink as a national athlete who made the good name of the country at the ASEAN Para Games.
In Singapore, he won a silver and bronze medal when Indonesia was a host.
The alumni of SMA PGRI 5 Banjarmasin began his bright stages in the 2008 National Disability Children Sports Week (Porcanas) in East Kalimantan. He won three gold medals.
This achievement could be maintained by Ibramsyah while attending the 2012 Indonesian Paralympic Games (Paparnas) in Riau. Even in 2016 in West Java, he still won three gold medals.
At the age of 45 which he now lives, Ibramsyah is determined to maintain his record in Paparnas Papua. But the coronavirus outbreak caused the games to be delayed to 2021.
He claimed to keep the spirit of training to continue to maintain his physical quality to survive as a regional athlete and continue to give an achievement for the fragrant name of the region.
In brief, he told his life journey to become a disabled swimming athlete. He said it was because of the motivation of the swimming coach he had known for a long time.
He said that he used to work as a swimming pool cleaner before his eyes experienced a total-an blind in 2000s.
