Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina stated, the curfew is now tightened and the entrances to the the border are closed on the application of Large Scale social Restriction (PSBB) to break the chain of COVID-19 outbreak.


According to him, after four days of evaluation of the PSBB, starting from the 5th day the guarding of the border for curfew at 21.00 to 06.00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time) is tightened.

The tightening of the entrance to border are enforced at the checkpoint of Kilometer 6 on Jalan A Yani, Handil Bakti checkpoint, Sungai Lulut checkpoint, and Jalan Gubernur Subardjo checkpoint.

"The implementation is at 21.00 WITA, the entrance is completely closed," he affirmed, Tuesday (April 28, 2020).

Except, Ibnu Sina said, for health transportation and logistics carriers.

"Or those who bring with them a letter of certification from the company. Beyond that, no one may enter (or force back to the departure point)," he pointed out.

To make it more effective, Ibnu Sina said, part of the roads in the city are closed, so no one will be passing at night.

He appealed to the public not to go at night, so they will not be refused to enter or leave the city.

"Let's obey this rule, because this is for the sake of our mutual safety to avoid the spread of COVID-19 virus," he explained.

Ibnu Sina said, the implementation of PSBB will continue to be tightened up to 14 days to disciplining the community.

Meanwhile, he welcomed the neighboring regions, namely the District of Banjar, Banjarbaru City and Barito Kuala District who also submitted PSBB.

"If the neighboring regions also apply PSBB, then it will be more effective to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 until it disappears from South Kalimantan," he said.

As the laters data shows, positive cases of COVID-19 in South Kalimantan reached 150, of which 44 were from Banjarmasin, only seven recovered, and six died.
