Spokesman of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) COVID-19 Task Force Isa Anshori declared one patient under surveillance (PDP) from the district has been referred to the Regional General Hospital of Ulin Banjarmasin, Wednesday (March 25, 2020).

He said, on Tuesday (March 24), an HSS resident came to the Brigjen H Hasan Basry Hospital of Kandangan. "The patient then entered the emergency installation (IGD). Based on the examination, the patient was categorized "Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) for COVID-19," he said in a press statement.

Because of the hospital was still in the process of arrangement and lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the medical team immediately coordinated with the Regional General Hospital of Ulin Banjarmasin for further treatment of this patient.

The Kandangan Hospital then referred the patient to Ulin Hospital at dawn on Wednesday. Ulin still has available room to treat one PDP patient.

"The Ulin Hospital team will later conduct re-examination (to determine the status of the patient)," he said.

He added that the laboratory examination carried out by the Ulin Hospital usually takes seven days then the result will be known.

As for the time being the HSS District based on the data from the South Kalimantan Health Office as of Wednesday, there are 67 persons under monitoring (OPD) and one patient under surveillance (PDP).
