Chairman of Central Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Atal Sembiring Depari stated the entire series of 2020 National Press Day (HPN) celebration in South Kalimantan was successful.
"Thank God, thank you, HPN was successful and congratulation for South Kalimantan," he remarked here, Sunday (Feb 9, 2020).
Atal was speaking at the thanksgiving of the peak of 2020 HPN celebration at the Mahligai Pancasila building in the residential complex of the Governor of South Kalimantan. According to him, although the appointment of South Kalimantan was impromptu, but in fact, it could prove able to carry it out.
"South Kalimantan is truly a true savior. Willing to be the host when we appoint and successful in carrying it out. What an extraordinary achievement that should be appreciated," Atal said and immediately greeted with a standing ovation by the press attendees.

Even, what made HPN special this time was the presence of President Joko Widodo who was accompanied by many ministers, heads of state institutions to ambassadors from friendly countries.
"We journalists from all over Indonesia feel very happy and proud of the presence of all these important people," said Atal again.

As gratefulness and high appreciation to the Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor, Central PWI named him as its honorary member.
"Uncle Birin (governor's nickname) is the regional head who is very concerned about the development of the press. With no more thought, when South Kalimantan was proposed to be the host of 2020 HPN, he immediately approved and ready to give everything needed for the success of HPN," Atal pointed out.
Meanwhile, the 2021 HPN has been ascertained to be held in Southeast Sulawesi through the PWI's decree received directly by the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi Ali Mazi in Banjarmasin.
