Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) -  South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced, starred hotels room occupancy rate in the province in September 2013 amounted to 58.65 percent, up 12.26 points compared to August 2013, which recorded 46.39 per cent.

If compared to September 2012, room occupancy rate (TPK) of starred hotels in South Kalimantan in September 2013 rose 3.47 points, said the Head of South Kalimantan BPS Dian Pramono Effendy here on Friday.

Similar increase occurred in TPK other accommodation in South Kalimantan in the same month reached 37.09 percent, up 3.01 points compared to August 2013 with only 34.08 percent.

However, when compared with September 2012 which it reached 39.40 percent, the TPK of other accommodations in the province, which consist of 13 districts/cities, in September 2013 decreased 2.31 ??points.

While the average length of stay (RTLM) and foreign and domestic guests in the starred hotels in South Kalimantan in September 2013 recorded 1.81 nights with an increase of 0.18 nights compared to August 2013 in which it only reached 1.63 nights.

Then RTLM foreign and domestic guests in other accommodation in September 2013 recorded 1.55 nights down 0.11 nights compared to August 2013 which reached 1.66 nights.

Similarly, compared to September 2012 when RTLM of other accommodation in South Kalimantan for foreign and domestic guests in September 2013 also decreased to 0.06 night.  *** ***
