Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin decided to postpone the construction of the stadium with a capacity of 30 thousand spectators as sports center because the building committee has not yet determined the exact location.

"It is better that we delay development until the committee found the location absolutely right, so that the future development of a quite magnificent sport stadiums has no significant problems," the governor said here on Wednesday.

The delay, he added, because of the development area of 200 hectares  is not in accordance with the need to set up the stadium.

According to the Governor, the structure of the soil in a preset location is mushy and most are in the swamp, so it is not suitable for the construction of the stadium.

Furthermore, he added, the provincial government has asked the Mayor of Banjarbaru to find land with the same broad, with a better location, not in the swamp land or on land that is mushy.
