Deputy Regent of Barito Kuala H Rahmadian Noor who is also Chairman of Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) for Barito Kuala (Batola) officially opened the 2019 South Kalimantan Provincial Badminton Championship in Ije Jela Building, Marabahan, Tuesday (Nov 12, 2019).
29 clubs from all over districts and cities in South Kalimantan took part in the championship which competing 21 catagories took place from 12 to 16 November 2019.
"We should be proud that Batola is trusted as a host of the badminton provincial championship this time," deputy regent remarked.
The opening ceremony was attended by 2nd Deputy Chairman of PBSI South Kalimantan Acep Kusumahadi, Head of Bank Kalsel Branch of Marabahan Akhmad Fauzi Noor, acting District Secretary H Abdul Manaf, members of District Leaders Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), heads of government agencies, heads of sub-districts, and the ranks of PBSI.
He said this is a good chance for Batola athletes to make their achievements and to show their capabilites in the provincial level.
The regent hoped in the future Batola will be able to host the larger sport championship, up to national level.
“If the implementation is going well this time, then it is possible the national level championship to be held in Batola, after the new sporthall completed," he said and applauded by the audiences.
