Head of South Kalimantan Public Works and Spatial (PUPR) Agency Roy Rizali Anwar hoped the expressway between Banjarbaru - Batulicin to be functional in 2020.
Roy was speaking before attending the meeting with the South Kalimantan Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission IV overseeing public welfare here on Monday (Nov 4, 2019).
He said the work this year for the road, with an estimated length of 125 km, is to build four bridges. Then four other bridges in 2020 with a cost of Rp40 billion.
The former head of Tanah Bumbu PUPR agency estimated the toll road construction will cost Rp4 trillion.

"At this time, the funding of the construction of is purely from the South Kalimantan Regional Budget (APBD). And the provincial government has disbursed more than Rp200 billlion," he remarked.
If it only expect the provincial budget it will need such a long time. "Therefore, we are trying to find the solution to the problems," said one of the youngest head of agency in South Kalimantan Provincial Government.

"But we remain to expect the central government assistance, especially the road that we are building now we be the support for the toll road planned by the central government between Kotabaru (South Kalimantan) and the new capital in East Kalimantan later," he pointed out.
