A dragon kite from Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, won the decorative flying kite in the first day of 2019 Batola Kite Festival held in Jejangkit Muara Village, Barito Kuala, South Kalimantan, Saturday (Oct 19).
The Kotabaru's dragon recorded a score of 27.57 to outperformed one hundred other participants from various regions of the archipelago.
While the second and third place won by Tapin, South Kalimantan, with a score of 27,06 and 26,99.
The owner of the dragon kite received IDR5 million and rotating trophy, permanent trophy, and certificates. while the second won IDR4 million and the third IDR3.5 million, plus trophy and certificates.

The kite fight on the second day involved big eight and tension became higher considering contestants were classified as superiors and classy, one of them was member of South Kalimantan DPRD H Hasanuddin Murad.
