Since the organic farming known as environmentally friendly as in practice farmers do not use hazardous chemicals, which have the potentials  to reduce soil fertility, Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation(YABN) then initiated to help farmers in Tabalong District to develop it.

Through Economic and Environment Division, it routinely introduces and gives assistance to farmers in order more and more farmers know the benefit of organic farming.

One of which in Kambitin Village, Tanjung Sub-district, 60 farmers here took part in the extension for two days, October 1-2, 2019 at the village hall.

Sorceperson from the Hall of Agricultural Extension Service (BPPL) Eka Rismawina explained that organic farming is far more profitable compared to conventional farming. Maintenance cost is lower by using cheap and environmentally friendly compost fertilier.

"We can utilize dried leaf, animal manure, cow urine, even the remain of damaged vegetable as fertilizer," she pointed out.

Beside, she added, the use of organic fertilizer in agriculture can increase soil fertility and affect the quality of farmers' farming product.
