The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Police have named a grandpa, S (69), as a suspect, after he was caught red-handed while burning land at Kapuk Besar Forest area in Pandawan Sub-district, Monday (Sept 23) noon.
The HST Chief Police Adj Sr Comr Sabana Atmojo in Barabai, Wednesday, said, S have been examined and he was named as suspect. He was caught by patrol officers while burning on a 578 square meter land.
Some evidences also secured by officers in the field, namely one lighter and a piece of burned out wood.
The grandpa is subjected to Article 187 of Criminal code (KUHP) with a threat of 12 years of prison.
