Tanjung, 17/6 (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Tabalong Health Agency found 94 people positive malaria, 76 cases of them in subdistrict Jaro.
Animal Bites Diseases Eradication Coordinator of Tabalong Health Agency, Wasul Falah, here in Tabalong capital on Monday said, by age group, malaria patients are between the ages of 15 to 54 years.
Wasul mention the local health office has done a treatment with artemisinin combination therapy (ACT) with a target number of 93 people and one non-ACT.
In addition to providing treatment, Tabalong health office has distributed 5,000 insecticide-treated nets for pregnant women and families who have children, especially in malaria endemic areas.
Data collection by clinics and hospitals in Tabalong a number of population at risk of malaria reached 224,386 people spread over 12 districts. **
