The South Kalimantan Provincial Government wants the Tapin Art Festival (TAF) agenda to become a city branding for Tapin Regency in promoting South Kalimantan culture in particular, and Kalimantan in general.


South Kalimantan Provincial Secretary Abdul Haris Makkie conveyed this when reading Governor H Sahbirin Noor's remarks on the peak night as well as the closing of TAF 2019 in the Rantau Baru Area. Sunday (5/8) night.

"The 2019 Tapin Art Festival can be used as a city branding for Tapin District, because it is able to promote the culture of Borneo and also improve the community's economy," he said.

The South Kalimantan Provincial Government will continue to support the tourism potential in South Kalimantan, one of which is through the Borneo Trip application which can be downloaded on a smartphone.

"The governor hopes that the Tapin Art Festival continue to be held every year," he said.

Meanwhile, Tapin Regent HM Arifin Arpan expressed his gratitude for the implementation of 2019 TAF with great fanfare.

"We thank all those who have supported the 2019 TAF," he said.

The Regent also hoped that the Tapin Art Festival could become a national tourism agenda every year, and could be even better in its implementation.

The 2019 TAF, which runs from 2 to 4 August, featured various activities, such as the SME's bazaar, traditional dance parades, videography and dance workshops, cultural marches, fun cooking with Mama Lita, and the appearance of Uyau Moris.
