South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor visited Syamsuddin Noor Airport to ensure the development project will be in accordance with the planned targets.
"I want to make sure the development of the airport is as planned," he said while reviewing the construction site of the airport project with the related team on Wednesday.
The Governor was accompanied by Angkasa Pura 1 Operations Director Wendo A Rose, Syamsudin Noor Airport GM Noor Indah Preastuty, Head of Food Crops and Horticulture Service Syamsir Rahman and Governor Special Staff Rizal Akbar and a number of staff.

"I hope the development process will be completed on time, so that people can enjoy a magnificent and comfortable airport," he said.
The governor also said that the planned inauguration of the airport would be carried out by Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
Angkasa Pura 1 Operations Director Wendo A Rose expressed his appreciation for the visit and direction of the governor to his staff. "Thank you Uncle Birin for the visit and attention that further fueled our enthusiasm to complete the stages of work," he said.
Wendo explained that the airport development consists of two packages. The first package is terminal with a progress reached 68 percent. The second package is supporting building aprons and other infrastructure has now reached 97.522 percent.
Airport development is targeted for completion in October 2019 and to be operational in November.
He asked for support of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government regarding the completion of road access to the airport.
Head of Highways of the South Kalimantan Public Works Office Yasin Toyib said for the completion of the road to the airport gate the agency had proposed a fund of IDR20 billion.
