Banjarmasin City will have a new regional regulation (perda) related to the circulation of alcoholic beverages after the completion of a discussion on the draft regulation (raperda) on levies for the sale of alcoholic beverages by the local DPRD.

Banjarmasin City DPRD member M. Yamin said on Monday the council and the city government had met a point of understanding about the draft regulation.

In the draft regulation, which revised Perda No. 17/2012, he said, the permit, which was originally only for 4 and 5 star hotels, now also applies to hypermarkets and supermarkets.

"After finalization, this is added to the place," said Yamin, who is also chairman of the draft committee.

The Gerindra politician said, the goal was not to boost regional revenue (PAD), but instead to suppress the proliferation of places for selling alcoholic beverages in this city. Moreover, the fact in the field is that there are many places for selling unauthorized alcoholic beverages.

"The aim is also to make it easier to monitor. The amount of the retribution is around Rp200 million and Rp300 million," he said.
