Regent South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry saw off 255 prospective haj pilgrims from the district, Monday (8/7). While Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) HSS chapter KH Muhammad Riduan Baseri prayed for them. Today they flown to Madinah. 


The Chair of the HSS Haj Organizing Committee Fathur Rahman in Kandangan (8/7) said there were 310 pilgrims in the regency. The first flight group (keloter) to depart today is 255 people and two local Hajj guiding team officers (TPHD).

"God willing, today they will be at the Banjarmasin embarkation and will depart for Madinah, while the second group of pilgrims will be 53 haj prospectives," he said, when delivering the report.

Regent suggested that the HSS haj candidates keep togetherness, keep their health and help each other there.

According to him, the task of the regional government is to deliver haj prospective pilgrims to the hajj dormitory and of course the government is also trying to make the maximum effort to prepare and improve things so that the pilgrims feel comfortable. He hopes that the pilgrims will smoothly carry out their worship and afterwards become mabrur haj and prosper the places of worship.

Also present was Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, Secretary of the Regency H. Muhammad Noor, officials at the HSS Government, and sub-district heads.
