Banjarmasin, (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Governor Rudy Ariffin said the government is targeting economic growth in the province led to reach 6 to 6.9 percent in 2015.

Governor in Banjarmasin on Friday said the target is supported by growth in various sectors of development in South Kalimantan in recent years is quite positive. "We continue to enhance the growth of various sectors, particularly infrastructure, agriculture, plantation, animal husbandry and horticulture, to reduce dependence to meet basic needs on other region," he said.

Special to the conditions of economic growth in 2012, he admitted, it was a bit sluggish due to a decline in the global economy. In 2011, South Kalimantan able to achieve economic growth of 6.12 percent, but in 2012 fell to 5.73 percent. But when it compared to 2009, when economic growth is only 5.01 percent and 5.58 percent in 2010, the decline is still much better.

Supporting the target, added the governor, in 2014, the administration made six macro goals for South Kalimantan provincial development, namely economic growth from 6.0 to 6.6 percent, the inflation rate between 6.0 to 6.5 percent. Furthermore, the open unemployment rate 5.50 percent, 4.25 percent rate of poverty, human development index (HDI) 73.06 percent and 1.52 percent population growth.
