South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor stated that the provincial government has a strong commitment to press coaching.
Therefore, the provincial government will always establish and improve communication and cooperation with the press, he continued when breaking the fast with the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) in Banjarmasin on Saturday afternoon.
In his remarks read by the South Kalimantan Regional Secretary H. Abdul Haris Makkie, the Governor appreciated all efforts to create professional and dignified journalists.
Professional and dignified are two things cannot be separated in an effort to maintain and increase the dignity of the press, he said.
While the Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of South Kalimantan H Fadli Mansyur reminded the press to not find fault with others, do not complain or commit slander.
Previously, South Kalimantan PWI Chair Zainal Helmi handed gifts to members symbolically in an event that took place at the South Kalimantan PWI Hall, Jalan Pangeran Hidayatullah Banjarmasin.
