Three elder haj candidates who have been proposed in the additional quota this year in Kotabaru have been resigned to the reason for waiting for their family.
The Head of Hajj and Umrah Section of the Kotabaru Office of Ministry of Religious Affair Syahruji, Tuesday (28/5), said the position of the three people was replaced by prospective pilgrims for the backup pilgrimage.
"The elderly are proposed, if the reserve is based on the serial number of the registration portion. Well, that's what replaces the elderly who don't pay off for certain reasons," he explained.
Kotabaru received an additional hajj quota of 16 people out of a total of 324 additional hajj quota for South Kalimantan. Fifty percent of the additional hajj quota is for elderly hajj candidates and their companions, while the rest for pilgrim candidates based on the registration serial number.
Additional pilgrim candidates in Kotabaru are scheduled to undergo further health checks and referrals on 27-28 May 2019 at the Kotabaru Hilir Health Center.
"They have an average age of 70 to 80 years, hopefully there is nothing that has the potential to frustrate the pilgrimage," said Head of Kotabaru Health Office Akhmad Rivai.
