Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The mobile library of the Tanah Laut Library and Archive Agency came to visit elemetary school students of SDN 1 Tambak Sarinah in a series of Manunggal Tuntung Pandang activities in the Tambak Sarinah Village, Kurau Subdistrict, Friday (5/4).
Students seemed enthusiastic about reading various kinds of reading books. There are fairytale books, stories, science and various other types of books.
In addition to reading on their own, students can also hear officers from the Library and Archives Agency read stories about ancient legend stories .
One of the student Fatimah was very happy because the mobile library came to her village.
"I am very happy because I can read books here, there are many stories," she said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Tanah Laut, H Sukamta, admitted that the district government through the Library and Archives Office was intensifying reading interest in the area.
"This program is to increase reading interest for Tanah Laut residents, so that they can educate the entire community," he said.
Manunggal Tuntung Pandang is an informal meeting between government and residents usually marked with social services and they can discuss various problems.
