Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Chairperson of the South Kalimantan Branch of Indonesian Motorcycle Association (IMI) Edy Sudarmadi said his party would put in order illegal or unauthorized events this year.


According to him, there were many automotive events that did not ask for IMI recommendations in 2018, so that they were called illegal.
         
"In 2019 we want to put it in order. We will help that all championships or automotive competitions in this area have permission. Through this Rakerprov we discuss how to realize it in the field," said Edy during the Provincial Work Meeting (Rakerprov) at the Aston Hotel here on Saturday.
   
He reminded, every automotive event is required to ask permission from IMI as the parent of an automotive organization that is recognized by the state. It also for the security and protection of athletes and the event.
         
"Do not let when participating in the illegal event, there are athletes who are injured to disability, it will be a bother," said Edy.
         
With the notification to IMI, it can coordinate with the regional police for its security.
       
"In addition, we can also check the standard of the race field, so it matches what we should," explained Edy.
         
In addition, the event that is legal or official, its achievements will not be monitored, and it will be a futile activity without its follow-up.
         
He said, IMI South Kalimantan will take persuasive steps first, before taking decisive steps against illegal events.
         
"Because we have the authority to dissolve it, of course through law enforcers," he said.

Regarding the event which will be implemented by the IMI in 2019, Edy said it would be quite solid. Especially this year as a preparation step for athletes to go to the 2020 National Sports Week (PON) in Papua.
