Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - A 3T (the frontier, outmost, and remote regions) fuel station (known in Indonesia as SPBU) now opens in a remote area of a well-known nature tourism Malinau Village, Loksado, South Hulu Sungai District.
The Director of Oil and Gas and the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Alfon Simanjuntak in Malinau Village on Monday (19/11) said the one price of Malinau, Loksado, 3T fuel station is the 96th have been inaugurated.
"With this one price gas station, the people in the remote can enjoy fuel at the same price as in other regions in Indonesia, namely the premium IDR 6,450 per litre and diesel for IDR 5,150 per litre," he said.
He explained PT Pertamina would continue to guarantee the supply of fuel and the construction of this gas station could spur economic growth in the district, especially in Loksado.
There is a need for coordination between BPH Migas, HSS government and the local community to oversee the availability and distribution of fuel in this one-price distributor so that it is right on target and not misused.
"There should be no industry and individuals who enjoy the one-price fuel program for personal gain, and the one-price fuel program has been announced by President Joko Widodo when visiting Yahukimo, Papua, in October 2016," he said.
The government is committed to the success of this program to create the same fuel prices throughout Indonesia, including in the 3T region. The construction of gas stations in the 3T area is not an easy matter considering the high geographical location and transportation costs so that it is necessary to ascertain the exact purpose of the allocation.
