Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The 1003 Kandangan Military Commander (Dandim) Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto stated that the TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) program is for the equitable development in the villages.


He said the 103rd TMMD activity in Malilingin Village, Padang Batung Subdistrict, covers physical and non-physical activities. The physical activities included the hardening of a 1700 meter long and four-meter wide road and rehabilitation of two worship facilities.

"Whereas non-physical activities include directives on nationalism, national defense, and love for the country, disseminating knowledge of traffic regulations," he said while giving a press statement in Malilingin, Thursday (1/11).

In addition, there is also knowledge about the importance of maintaining regional security, knowledge of the dangers of drugs and alcohol, knowledge of family planning and about maintaining health and cleanliness of the environment.

A village supervisory non-commissioned officer (Babinsa) for Malilingin Village Second Sergeant (Serda) Lelek S Tiong said that with the TMMD program some benefits are obtained, especially in physical activities.

Among which the paved road facilitates road access for the community, while people who have farm will easily sell their products and have a bigger profit.

"The energy and material expenditure are reduced with the opening of the road connecting Malilingin village and Pariangan village so that it will add economic value to the surrounding area," he said.

The community, he said, must play a role and participate in TMMD to realize what the government hopes for in implementing the development equality program, and the TMMD program will not succeed without the seriousness and unity of the TNI and the people.
