JAPFA Foundation supports South Kalimantan's food security

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - JAPFA Foundation together with PT JAPFA Comfeed Indonesia, Tbk and its business units, such as PT Ciomas Adisatwa, Best Meat and Japfa Group, said they were committed to supporting national food security in the province of South Kalimantan.

Head of JAPFA Foundation Andi Prasetyo in Banjarmasin said on Saturday that this form of commitment was realized, one of which was the participation of JAPFA Foundation and Japfa Group in the 2018 World Food Day (HPS) celebration, which was centered in Banjarbaru October 18-21 2018.

According to him, as a humanitarian organization that participates in national hunger elimination and food distribution programs, JAPFA Foundation and Japfa Group are present at the exhibition on food technology, livestock villages, plantation villages, food crop villages, horticultural villages, and sustainable villages.

Meanwhile, said Andi, food security on a national scale has long been the focus of the JAPFA Foundation. Then it was proven by the establishment of food security programs and collaboration with related parties, including the government.

Some ongoing programs include YESS (Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Services Program) and the Agrotechnology and Agribusiness Vocational scholarship programs.
