121 volunteers were recorded joining the joint exercises initiated by the HST Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) independently without using the local government (APBD) funds.
The training included SAR, victim handling, rescue, medical knowledge, public kitchen up to exercise of using GPS to know the point coordinates.
Head of BPBD Ali Fahmi said the two-day joint exercise at the Barabai 1002 District Military Command headquarters (Makodim) was in preparation for disaster management in the dry season and related to frequent forest and land fires.
Exercise is also to deal with floods and landslides that are also common in the district.
