Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Narcotics Special Prison officers found a number of mobile phones to artificial knives when conducting raids in the detention blocks. 

"The banned items were later secured for further data collection and destructed," said Supari, the warden, in Martapura on Monday. 

The raid by joint officers of Task Force and Security Unit (Satgas Kamtib) along with all Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) were targeting J, K and L detainees block. With routine raid, security and order in prisons are expected will be more controlled. 

"Routine raids to prevent the occurrence of disturbances of security and order in prisons" said Supari. 

In the raid, officers found prohibited items, among others, mobile phones with various brands, modems, artificial knives, cables and iron and wood that allegedly can be used as a tool to create security disturbances.

Meanwhile, the head of the Correctional Division of South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights Anas Saeful Anwar appreciated the activities of the raid. 

"This raid activity should be done routinely and the inmates are accustomed, so there is no friction that disturbs us, otherwise, the environment becomes sterile," he explained.
