Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Traffic Unit Police, under the command of Police Chief Sr Comr (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana, formed a team to ease traffic jams in the capital of South Kalimantan Province.
"The team is headed by Deputy Head of Traffic Unit Adj Comr (AKP) Abdul Rahman," said Police Chief Anjar Wicaksana in Banjarmasin on Wednesday.
The team of traffic congestion consisting of nine people was confirmed on 28 November 2017 in the combined ceremony in the City Police headquarters.
The formation of the team is based on the increasingly heavy traffic flow in the local city as the volume of vehicles increases.
It aims to provide a sense of security, safety, order and smooth flow of traffic and comfort of citizens in driving on the highway.
This team is to prevent various kinds of street problems. It movements target points of indicated prone to jam, accident-prone and prone to the traffic violation.
Anjar said the team was formed with the hope and get a positive response and get support from the people of Banjarmasin.
