Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Indonesia's sanitation delegation, participants of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing's sanitation workshop in Banjarmasin, visit the city's Wastewater treatment company PD-PAL.
Head of Institutional Section Directorate of Development and Environmental Sanitation of the ministry Meinar Manurung here on Friday said there were 37 delegations all over Indonesia who visited PD-PAL Banjarmasin.
According to him, PD-PAL is exemplary of other regions, because it successfully performs domestic wastewater treatment centrally.
"Try other areas to follow the example, as PD-PAL Banjarmasin is able to survive and continue to grow with the number of improved services," said Meinar Manurung.
He hoped that delegates from various regions of Indonesia could adopt the centralized wastewater treatment system such as the PD-PAL owned by Banjarmasin City Government.
"At least the participants of these sanitation workshops are motivated to perform wastewater treatment in their respective areas," said Meinar Manurung.
Director of PD-PAL Banjarmasin H Rahmatullah SE said, with the visit of delegations of districts and cities across Indonesia he shared experience and constraints in wastewater treatment.
