Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District in South Kalimantan is reviewing the development of the Malilingin Mountain peak as an agro-tourism site.
HSS Regent H Achmad Fikry in here on Friday said the natural beauty of Malilingin peak would be very attractive to tourists. Not only the scenery is very beautiful, but also a pretty good agricultural potential will open new insights for tourists.
"There is beautiful scenery lying around the peak of Malilingin, but it also grows fertile crops such as onion, peanuts, and hot chili," he said.
The potential, he added, would be a new tourist magnet for HSS, if developed by improving the necessary supporting facilities such as road infrastructure and others.
"I ask the Youth, Sport and Tourism Agency to go there specifically to study opportunities and then promote it as an object of agro-tourism," he said.
To get to the top of the mountain, we must pass the road full of twists with climbs and ravines, even visitors must pass the path and a sharp descent.
However, added the Regent, a fairly exhausting trip will be paid after arriving at the top of the mountain that presents a beautiful natural charm, plus a view of the surrounding agricultural crops.
Currently, HSS continues to explore new tourism potential that can be sold in tour packages other than Loksado.
According to the Regent, Loksado natural attractions that have been known to the world proved to be able to improve the welfare of the community and encourage the creativity of citizens to develop the region.
