Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Dozens of residents of Kintap Lama Village, Tanah Laut District, who were victim of collapsing of coal mine dike causing their house washed away by water flow asked CV Datra Katama Jaya to be responsible.
"We appeal the company to be able to compensate the residents' houses washed away by water," said Nani, a victim, in Pelaihari, Monday (19/6).
According to her, the consequences were not only their homes swept away, but their property also washed away by the swift water.
"For the time being our family was forced to evacuate to a family or temporary shelter," she said.
For that, she hopes, mining company to immediately provide compensation so that residents can build the house as soon as possible.
Separately, Noorjanah, another victim, said the company should be held accountable for the disaster that befell residents to the loss of shelter.
"We really hope the company is responsible for the incident because our son's house also washed away," she said.
