Tanjung, South Kalimantan 7/4 (AntaranewsKalsel) - A number of roads along Tabalong River bank, especially in the south, effected by landslides due to heavy rainfall.
"It's been almost a month this road at RT 8 effected by lanslide causing part of embankment collapsed," said Zainuddin, villagers of Banua Rantau RT 8, Banua Lawas Sub-district, Friday.
Not only in the village of Banua Rantau, roads in Sei Gampa RT 5 also experienced the same thing. Part of road embankment falled and caused part of the paved road cut.
One resident of Sei Gampa, Maryam, said roads became so narrow because part of embankment and asphalted road drifted when river tide rising.
He hoped that the local government immediately tackling the road considering its position on the banks of the river, could be dangerous for road users.
Head of Highways Department of the Tabalong Public Works Agency Wibawa Agung Subrata explained the budget to repair roads in the village of Sei Gampa to be proposed in budget changes.
"This year roadwork is in the southern region in Sei Anyar, Sub-district of Banua Lawas, while other parts to be attempted on budget changes," he said.
Based on the data in the Public Works, the length of the district road based on the type of pavement increased by 1.74 percent, from 544.5 kilometers to 560.265 kilometers.
The length of the road based on the conditions for the number of road with good category increased by 2.87 percent or 25.93 kilometers.
Likewise, the number of bridges in 2016 increased from 589 into 593 bridges.
