Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Mayor Ibnu Sina stated until now he has not yet set how much is the city's minimum wage (UMK) in 2017.


"The study of how to determine Banjarmasin's UMK in 2017 has not got to my table, so I can not decide now," he said while in the city council building on Monday.

Ibnu Sina said, it needs assessment to determine how well the magnitude of 2017 UMK, because the effect will be very great for the area's economy.

"I certainly want equitable study, may be beneficial for the welfare of the workers and not too burdensome to entrepreneurs. Must be careful to set," said Ibnu Sina.

He insisted no need to hurry to establish UMK. What necessary is the correct process with deliberation and consensus of all parties concerned.

"So we wait for the team to process it, I am also waiting for their official report before deciding later on," said mayor.

Meanwhile, Head of Social Affairs and Labor (Dinsosnaker) Esya Zain on Monday said the discussion of the determination of the amount is not yet complete.

"There are no exact figures we can set up right now, but our target is to be higher than the provincial minimum wage (UMP), which is already set," he said.
