Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS), South Kalimantan, Hermansyah received BAZNAS Award 2024 as he was named the regional head main supporting for the best zakat management.
BAZNAS Award 2024 was held by the National Alms Agency (Baznas) in Jakarta as a form of appreciation for a significant contribution to zakat (obligatory alm) in Indonesia, one of them to HSS regional head.
Hermansyah received the 2024 BAZNAS award from the Baznas Chairman KH Noor Ahmad in Jakarta, Thursday. The BAZNAS awarding ceremony was opened by Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, who represented President Joko Widodo.
"Alhamdulillah we are grateful for this award as main supporting for the best zakat management in Indonesia," said Hermansyah as quoted from the press statement released by HSS Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo), Thursday.
This is a shared gratitude and especially for the HSS community, who have great trust in BAZNAS in distributing zakat, infaq and sedekah (charity), he continued.
His side hopes that with the award received today, the zakat potential in HSS would be further increased.
"This is of course aim at increasing the activities of BAZNAS, for the benefit of umat, especially in HSS District which continue to run," said Hermansyah who was accompanied by Chairperson of BASNAS HSS Akhmad Suriani.
