Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government owned tap company PDAM Tabalong is installing a 5.5 kilometers pipeline in order to optimize the distribution of taps water in the district.


Head of engineering of PDAM Tabalong Musta`in in Tanjung on Wednesday said the pipes installed are main pipes with a diameter of 10 to 14 inches.

"The installation of the main pipeline along Jalan PHM Noor until Maburai, Sub-district of Murung Pudak, including in the direction of Guru Danau is intended to optimize the distribution of clean water for customers," said Musta`in.

These main pipe installation activities using funds from the 2015 district budget in the hope of increasing the number of taps customer.

Musta`in added the current number of subscribers of PDAM Tabalong who enjoy water services reached 16,000.

In addition to the installation of mains pipes, local water company also adds to pump distribution in the sub-district of Tanjung and Kelua. Including building a clean water plant with a capacity of 20 liters per second which funding from the 2016 state budget in Muara Uya and Jaro.

Previously the taps water company has built a network of piping and accessories in the village of Binturu, Sub-district of Kelua, and in the village of Upau, Upau Sub-district, as well as the water treatment plant with a capacity of 20 liters per second in Upau.
