The natural mountinous panorama in Purui Village supports the attraction of the cave, which is about 45 kilometers from the town of Tanjung. It has ornament and water source running within the cave.
Dahri, a Purui villager, said the cave began to have many visitors since 2015, particularly in weekends or school holidays.
"We found a river with clear water and very cold inside the cave. Because of its beauty many people from outside Purui Village come for a holiday," Dahri told.
No wonder if Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani came for a directl visit to Liang Pundun. He was accompanied by Public Work Agency (PU) Head Noor Rifani, Head of Tabalong Development Planning Board (Bappeda) Erwan Mardani and Assistant on Economic Development Affairs Hamidah Munawarah.
Anang said that local government will fix an access road of about three kilometers to the cave to facilitate and for the convinience of visitors.
By involving local people in developing and managing the new attraction, Anang expect it will help increase their welfare when rubber price still declines.
Tabalong has some caves as its natural attraction. Beside Liang Pundun, it also has Liang Kanting, Liang Tapah, Kelelawar and Batu Buli.
