We were informed that traffic jammed so many on the main road along Banua Anam-Banjarmasin. That why we take mining roads to avoid the jammed,
Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Some pemudik (homegoers) used mining road to avoid traffic jam along Banua Anam to return after having Eid-al-Fitr holidays with their families.


One of them Hj Masunah and family, who just had vacation in their home village Batu Benawa, Central Hulu Sungai (HST). They took mining roads to be out from the jamming main road along Banua Anam.

"We were informed that traffic jammed so many on the main road along Banua Anam-Banjarmasin. That why we take mining roads to avoid the jammed," said H Lukman, one of the family, Sunday.

"Indeed only some people know there is alternative road, the mining road, to get rid off jamming on certain points of the main road. Some who follow us also could avoid the jam," he continued.

According to Hj Masunah, by passing the mining road, the trip was smooth. No need to speed up only took four hours to go from HST to Banjarbaru (with a distance of 130 kilometers).

Because, said the mother of three children, the mining road owned by Haji Ijai (a wellknown entrepreneur in the province who live in Banuang, Tapin District), is smoothly paved although it go into forest area and rubber plantation.

Banua Anam covers six districts, namely Tapin (with Rantau as a capital 117 km north of Banjarmasin), South Hulu Sungai (its capital Kandangan 135 km), then HST (with Barabai 165 km), North Hulu Sungai (its capital Amuntai 185 km from Banjarmasin), Balangan (with Paringin 217 km ), and Tabalong (with Tanjung 236 km), all are in the north of Banjarmasin.  

Meanwhile, other homegoers family, Ida (Hj Masunah sister), who also went back from HST, had to take eight hours for the journey to Banjarbaru. They did not take mining road, but the main road with many traffic jams.

Some of points of the jam were at roads between Martapura-Tambak Anyar, t-intersection to Kelampayan. The jammed road also at Tambarangan, Binuang, Angkinang, till t-intection of Pantai Hambawang.
