Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, intensively implementing Youth Entrepreneur and Employment Support Services (YESS) program targetting millennials.
"Many parties are involved in this program, including Lazis Assalam Fil Alamin South Kalimantan and several vocational high schools (SMKs) in Tanah Bumbu," said PPIU Project Manager of YESS program for South Kalimantan Angga Aditia Permana in Batulicin, Friday.
He said the target of this program is young people such as school and university students so they are moved to develop a love for agriculture.
YESS is a program from the Indonesia Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to produce young entrepreneurs in agriculture.

Meanwhile, Regent of Tanah Bumbu H. M Zairullah Azhar said that his government has handed over YESS's Competitive Grants (HK) funds to young entrepreneur in agriculture sector.
Of the hundreds of proposals that were submitted, 14 were approved to receive the grants after going through verifivcation stages.
"The amount of assistance distributed varies, some are IDR25 million, others IDR47 milion, and IDR50 million depending on the business being pursued," he said.
He expounded that YESS program aims to regenerate farmers who are currently stilll dominated by old farmers.
YESS is expected to increase competency of human resources of rural people who pursue agriculture to create farming entrepreneurs among millennials and have an impact to agriculture production in Bumi Bersujud (Tanah Bumbu's nickname).
