Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A joint team of South Kalimantan Narcotics Agency (BNNP), Banjarmasin Narcotics Agency (BNNK), South Kalimantan Regional Police, City Police, TNI and Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) raided Kampung Arab, Lama Market Village, in an effort to combat drugs.
"Earlier in the village we already informed a number of times about the dangers of drugs, but there are still some stubborns so that the joint raid conducted," said South Kalimantan BNNP Chief Kombes Arnowo here Thursday.
He said the clean-up activities in Kampung Arab were conducted in the four corners of the densely populated settlements.
Police brought down personnel by using a complete weapons and bulletproof vests and drug dogs as well.
The actions of law enforcement in combating drugs in the Kampung Arab that took place on Thursday (26/5) morning, at about 09:00 pm lasted for two hours.
Some secured along with the evidence, including in Gang Mekarsari 95 Charnoven pills secured from citizen named M and 18 pills from A.
Furthermore, in Gang Cahaya police secured man named Mul with evidence of 53 Charnoven pills and at Gang Ibu secured D and 190 pills Zhenit confiscated.
"All the actors that we have secured in a joint raid were handed over to the Banjarmasin Narcotics Police for further examination," he said after chairing the event.
Arnowo hope Banjarmasin have a drugs clean village and Kampung Arab is one of them. Prevention has been done through socialization since January, but there are still stubborns that need follow-up activities such as raids.
Joint raid was ransacked several houses suspected of hiding drugs. In the future villages clean of drugs will be formed in South Kalimantan.
