We did a urine test as a manifestation of the government's commitment to maintain and anticipate the entire government apparatus from involvement of illicit drugs,Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Governor and officials of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government underwent a sudden urine test by local National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) in Banjarbaru, Monday.
Governor Sahbirin Noor, Vice Governor Rudy Resnawan, Regional Secretary Arsyadi, and all officials ranging from assistant to head of working units (SKPD) underwent the test.
"We did a urine test as a manifestation of the government's commitment to maintain and anticipate the entire government apparatus from involvement of illicit drugs," said Governor Sahbirin Noor.
According to him, the government is committed to eradicating the dangers of drugs. No tolerance for civil servants or state apparatus who do drugs.
"If anyone is engaged, either as user or dealer, will be punishwith hardest, such as dismissal and other legal sanctions," he said.
The governor also reiterated that the test has nothing to do with changes in the cabinet or the placement of employees in an office.
Urine test which was conducted to 56 officials, took about 1 hour, making some scheduled agenda of governors and heads of SKPD, such as planting trees in the Banua Botanical Gardens, Banjarbaru, delayed about 1 hour.
