Martapura, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjar Police arrested two men who stole handreds of marriage books from the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) Balangan, South Kalimantan.


"We arrested the suspect JND and RYD. They both thief of marriage books at KUA Batumandi, Balangan," said Police Chief AKBP Kukuh Prabowo in Martapura, Tuesday.

Not only captured the two suspects, police also seized evidence in the form of hundreds of marriage books taken from KUA. Both the suspect had been shot.

Although the case is now handled by Banjar Police, who arrested the two suspects, Saturday (19/3) night, but Balangan Police investigators could also investigate.

"The case of theft by the two suspects is handled because there were five reported cases coming in. However, Balangan Police can also do filing," he said.

Meanwhile, the marriage book in green and brown seized totaled 115 as evidence of the two suspects' crimes. "The original book published by Ministry Religion Affairs confiscated as evidence for the trial," said the police chief accompanied by Head of Criminal Detective AKP Budi Prasetyo.

Suspect JND said, the idea of ??stealing hundreds of marriage book came from SKR, other suspect who managed to escape when police tried to arrest.

"We just told by SKR to steal the marriage books in KUA Batu Mandi. He said they could be sold. But we were arrested before they sold," he said.

In addition to taking hundreds marriage certificate, the perpetrators of theft by force across provinces also looted vehicle registration certificates (STNK) belonging to a motorcycle dealer in Martapura.
