"To achieve a clean, sustainable, equitable, affordable, and inclusive energy transition, we emphasize the need to strengthen collaboration for innovative partnerships and ensure financing and access to the required technology," Tasrif noted in a statement here on Friday.
"We welcome the exploration of new partnership initiatives to support countries' goals of accelerating energy transitions, including between developed and developing countries," he remarked.
The Indonesian government lauded Denmark's continuous support and contribution to accelerating energy transition and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Indonesia as well as the progress of the Indonesia-Denmark energy partnership programs for the 2021-2025 period. The partnership programs focus on energy modeling, renewable energy integration, and energy efficiency in Indonesia.

Several cooperation programs that the governments of Indonesia and Denmark have implemented, include the Indonesia-Denmark Partnership Programme (INDODEPP), Sustainable Island Initiatives (SII), and Friends of Indonesia Renewable Energy (FIRE).
The SII program has contributed to the energy transition program in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, and Batam, Riau Islands, by supporting the two provinces through the development and utilization of waste energy, biomass, and business relations studies.

Currently, the two countries have selected Aceh and West Java for sustainable province initiatives. The Danish government is supporting the two provinces to improve regional energy transitions.
Minister Tasrif thanked Danish Minister for Development Cooperation and Nordic Cooperation, Flemming Møller Mortensen, for Denmark's contribution to supporting Indonesia's energy transition efforts.
"I am sure that this bilateral cooperation will work and continue to a higher level," he remarked.
