Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalimantan) - South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Agung Budi Maryoto said people of Banjarmasin not to be effected by issue of would be a dispute between tribes.


"That's not true. The case of the stabbing that occurred some time ago in Banjarmasin was purely a case of crime, there are no other elements," he said here on Sunday.

He said one of the suspects in the case had already surrendered to the Banjarmasin City Police on Sunday afternoon.

Dayak Customary Council (DAD) and the Association of Families of Madura (Ikama) agreed to submit the case to the police. In addition, the Ikama promised to help police locate and hand over the perpetrators who have not been caught.

"The perpetrators have not been caught are still being pursued by a joint team," he said.

For that the entire community of South Kalimantan, Banjarmasin in particular, not to be provoked by issues that want to break the peace in this city.

"Banjarmasin is conducive and the public are expected to remain calm and do not fall with the issues that are not true, leave it to the police," he said.

Meanwhile, Military Resort 101/Antasari Commander Colonel Yanuar Fair here said, the city of Banjarmasin relatively safe and there is an agreement between the two parties.

"Let's together we keep the situation in the city to remains safe, comfortable, peaceful and conducive," he said on the sidelines of the meeting of Ikama and DAD in Banjarmasin City Police headquarters.

Dewan Adat Dayak leader Dehen MH in Banjarmasin said it has struggled to maintain and create a situation here remained favorable. He appealed to people to remain calm do not fall on the incident, all submit to the police as law enforcers.
