Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Marine security guard post belonging to the Banjarmasin Naval Base standby 24 hours to watch every condition in the waters of South Kalimantan.


"Banjarmasin Naval Base owned posts in South Kalimantan region is always alert and maintain security in the waters of this province," said Maritime Security Post Commander in the Trisakti Port Banjarmasin Lieutenant Pujiono on Friday.

He said the checkpoints set up by the Navy in South Kalimantan region has a strategic role and location in maintaining security in the waters.

Each waters checkpoint belonging to the Navy always on alert 24 hours and people can report if there are security threats in the waters.

"We have 13 posts in this regions of Banjarmasin Naval Base, one of which is a security post adjacent to the Trisakti Port Banjarmasin," he said.

Meanwhile Commander of Banjarmasin Naval Base Col (p) Haris Bima Bayuseto here said marine security post at Trisakti is one of the important post because it is located near Port Trisakti which is one of the vital national asset that must be maintained.

"Navy continues to provide security and comfort for users of port services, also in charge of carrying out observations of shipping traffic situation and monitoring the waters of the river up to the mouth of the river," he said.
