Marabahan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent Barito Kuala Hasanuddin Murad said large livestock populations and production in Barito Kuala continued to increase until the end of 2015.


"Especially big cattle at the end of 2015 its population increased by a significant amount," said Regent Hasanuddin Murad in Marabahan Thursday.

According to him, the development of production increase also occurred in the field of fisheries, particularly over the last three years.

"While oil palm plantations with an area of nucleus reached 21,707 hectares and plasma society covering an area of 7,691 hectares have been able to support the operation of a palm oil mill since mid 2015," he said.

The totality existence of agriculture, he said, has put its function as the largest contributor to GDP structure of Barito Kuala District.

In 2014, based on constant prices predicted to reach 29.46 percent with a value contribution of Rp1.3 trillion of Barito Kuala total GDP Rp4.49 trillion.

"This condition if converted as income per capita in 2014 at current prices is predicted to reach a value of Rp19.705.648 or increase by 2.3 percent over the previous year," he said.
