Jakarta (ANTARA) - There will be around 656 units of electric cars used by the 2022 G20 Summit delegates...
"We will install the rooftop PV solar panels on 35 PLN’s buildings and one building, owned by PT Indonesia Power. They all can hopefully be completed in July," the company’s regional business director for Java, Madura, and Bali Regions, Haryanto, said in a statement here on Sunday.
He has assessed that the solar panels will increase the utilization of clean energy to support the government’s energy transition program – which is also one of the G20 leaders' agenda at the Bali Summit.
In addition, PLN is establishing a hybrid solar power plant in Nusa Penida, Bali Province, which will provide clean electricity of 3.5 megawatt.
"The construction of the hybrid power plant is aimed to anticipate the surge of electricity demand which is estimated to increase by 20 percent ahead of the 2022 G20 Summit," the PLN’s regional business director said.
PLN will also build 60 units of ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations (SPKLU) and 21 rapid electric car charging stations in a number of strategic locations, as well as provide 150 electric vehicle home charging units.
The attempts are made to meet the electricity needs for charging the G20 delegates' electric vehicles, he said.
